According to France Catholique, quoting Alliance pour les Droits de la Vie (Alliance for Human Life), the French socialists, holding 120 members of the French National Assembly, are pushing a bill to legalize Euthanasia in France. The Catholic church opposes Euthanasia as intrinsically evil. According to the church, while extreme and abnormal methods do not need to be taken to preserve a human life, basics such as nutrition are required, and the intentional assistance in another's suicide is murder, and abuse, and hatred towards the unstable soul who chooses to end their own life.

L'Eglise catholique s'oppose à l'euthanasie comme intrinsèquement mauvais. Selon l'église, alors que les méthodes extrêmes et anormaux ne doivent pas être prises pour préserver la vie humaine, de base tels que la nutrition sont nécessaires, et l'assistance intentionnelle dans un autre suicide est assassiner, et les abus et la haine envers l'âme instable qui choisit mettre fin à leur propre vie.
